Who inspires you? Who motivates you to try new things, to step out of your comfort zone and to live your best life? Who encourages you to simply do better?
When we think about inspiration, a number of people may come to mind. We may be inspired by individuals mentioned in the Bible such as David or Paul. We may think of celebrities such as Barack Obama or Oprah. It may be a parent, grandparent or other family member.
Truth is, we can be inspired by just about anyone we come in contact with. You may encounter a stranger who does something nice for you and inspires you to pay it forward. A homeless person may inspire you to give back. Even a little child can inspire creativity and joy. Oftentimes we look to those with fame and fortune for inspiration and look past the very heroes who inspire us everyday.
So my challenge to you this week is to open your eyes to the unsung heroes all around you. Be willing to gain wisdom from those that you least expect to learn from. Allow yourself to be inspired.
