05 Jun Save the Earth
Over this past week, there has been a LOT of talk about climate change. Climate change is a very real dilemma with dangerous short and long term consequences. We see these effects daily with increased temperatures, extreme weather patterns and reports of ice caps melting. We can and should take steps to help reverse climate change. We have a responsibility to take action.
When God created Adam and Eve he gave humans dominion over all the earth (Gen 1:26). With that authority came the responsibility to take care of the earth. Individually we may not be able to change emissions technology and regulations, but we can vote for those that can. We can choose to carpool, bike and walk when possible. We can make a choice to recycle. We can unplug electronics when not in use and use energy efficient lightbulbs and appliances. We can plant a tree or eat organic foods. Seemingly minor changes have the potential to yield significant results. What change can you make today to save the earth?
