28 Jan The Mission
For the next few weeks, I would like to focus on the mission of Honorable Distinction – to empower women to live distinctly by exemplifying their FAITH, INTEGRITY and STRENGTHS.
For the last few years I have written posts meant to encourage and motivate readers to live their best lives physically, emotionally, mentally and most of all spiritually. Underlying all that was a desire to infuse women with the confidence to stand apart from the rest, to be set apart based on their faith and their walk with God.
So often, people get caught up in titles or roles and they determine their worth based on those. My goal is to show women that you don’t need to be a CEO to be influential. You don’t have to be a famous actor or social media star to have a voice. Wherever you are, you can distinguish yourself from all the rest through your actions and your character.
There are so many words I could have used to summarize the characteristics of a woman of Honorable Distinction but the mission focuses on three – faith, integrity, strengths.
Faith – Our faith in God defines us as Christian women. Scripture says that “faith without works is dead (James 2:26).” Our daily actions should reflect our faith. We stand apart by what we do.
Integrity – Walk the talk. Psalms 26:11 says “but as for me, I will walk in mine integrity.” A person of integrity stands out because of their honesty and their steadfast morality. They say what they mean and mean what they say. They are the same person in the dark as they are in the light.
Strengths – God has given each of us unique talents and strengths that we are expected to use for His glory. I Peter 4:10 says “each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” We distinguish ourselves by sharing our unique gifts with the world; by using our strengths to serve others.
Over the next few posts, we will delve deeper into each of these topics but my hope is that this post will serve as an introduction for some and reminder for others about what Honorable Distinction is all about.

Posted at 19:47h, 31 JanuaryI am so excited to follow this series! So many people believe that because they are not rich, famous, or some kind of public figure that they don’t have an influence that matters.

Posted at 18:25h, 02 FebruaryYou are correct. We don’t have to be a “star” to have a voice. Shine His love to everyone in words and actions. 🙂
