03 Sep A Present Help
For over a week we have witnessed the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey. Houston and surrounding cities have suffered unspeakable destruction and will continue to need our prayers and donations long after the waters have receded.
Although it is difficult to understand why these things happen, we must remember that Scripture says that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). God does not passively assist with our troubles; He actively helps us through every moment of our trials. God knows the physical, mental and emotional needs of each and every victim of Hurricane Harvey and He is moving right now to provide for every need.
