23 Jul Reflection
There is so much going on in the world right now. With all of the negativity we are exposed to via 24 hour news, political speeches, and social media it is important to take a moment to breathe and to meditate on positive thoughts.
So today, I am going to keep this short and simple. I encourage you to use this time to consciously turn all of your cares and the cares of the world over to God. God is in control of everything and we need to trust that despite all of the craziness around us, that we can depend on Him to make everything alright. Reflect on the verses below and pray that in the midst of it all, God will give us peace which passeth all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Verses for reflection:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Phil 4:8
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Rom 8:28
“If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Tim 1:7
